What is the purpose of your book series?
The purpose of our series is to implicitly introduce native and non-native French language learners to basic verb conjugation and sentence structure by adopting a more natural approach.
Which age group are the books intended for?
Our books are most appealing to children aged 2 to 5. However, they can also be used for older children who are either learning French for the first time or who are enrolled in a French immersion program.
How do you choose the verbs that are featured in your books?
There exists three main groups of verbs in French: The first group (verbs ending in -er), the second group (verbs ending in -ir), the third group (auxiliary verbs and irregular verbs).
Each book demonstrates how to conjugate a basic verb that will help young language learners develop essential skills and build a solid foundation in French.
These are the types of verbs we choose to feature in our works:
• Model verbs: Verbs representing a particular verb group, which, when learned by heart, make it easy to conjugate all other verbs from that group. For example, in our first book, we have chosen to conjugate AIMER (to love), a verb from the first group, ending in -er. When a reader will learn how to conjugate this verb, they will be able to conjugate all other verbs ending in -er.
• Auxiliary verbs: There exists only two auxiliary verbs in French: AVOIR (to have) and ÊTRE (to be). These are also known as helping verbs, as they help conjugate other verbs in various tenses.
Are the books available in other languages?
Given that our books aim to introduce children to French verb conjugation, the books are only available in French.
Where are the books made?
Our books are the fruit of an international collaboration. We work with female illustrators from around the World, finalize the text and design in Canada, and collaborate with an ethically-run printing factory in China.
